So cute!,good luck with getting brothers...we have 2 brothers from the same litter and they can be a handful, they have certainly proven more difficult to train as they keep winding each other up ...

what breed do you have?

we have found separation is the best method for training :D we've only had them a little more than a week - but it seems to be working pretty well

Ours are Boxer/Labrador crosses dogs that forever think they are puppies :)..even when one of them weighs 100lbs!! [link]

Thats a good plan,it was the only way that we could get anything done, the problem with ours as they back-slide when back together ,though they are much better now..we now know that Boxers are one of the hardest dogs to train because they are so headstrong .:)

:faint: two VERY BIG BOYS you have there :faint: no wonder training is so important to you :faint: how old are your boys?

gratefully - Corgies are shepherds - who should never be heavier than twenty pounds or sixteen inches from toe to the tip of an ear - after a year they're supposed to fall into wanting a partnership with their owner - that is - if the early training pushes them in that direction :D

we're finding lots of exercise, periodic separations (including sleeping in separate crates at night) , and a big supply of chew toys is keeping them from eating one another - and us :D

but they are only just nine weeks old

They are just over 2 years...so probably as big as they will get now, which is handy :).

Thats like Spaniels and Border collies then.

Chews and pull toys do kepp them busy, but they do like to play rough :)..

We had a dog years ago when the boys were growing up. He was part german shepherd and part collie (lassie). He was very smart and good with the cattle and the kids. It was pretty traumatic when we lost him (as you well know) and we just never got another one. Now we have farm cats who seem to come and go. Mostly they are come from the neighbors to get a free meal. We thought "Smelly Cat" adopted us permanently, but he can disappear for weeks at a time. I am still working full time and gone all day and when Fred is driving semi he is gone long days, and dogs need much more attention than cats. Maybe when I retire we will get another dog.

yep, losing a family pet is difficult  we lost two cats we'd had nearly twenty years and Bart who was almost fifteen in a matter of nine months - and we swore no more animals for at least another year :giggle: so much for swearing :giggle:

we built a feeding station in the backyard for stray or neighborhood cats passing through and one black and white (we call him Fred ) seems to come around every evening :D but it won't let us near it

the thought of two eight week old puppies is a little overwhelming but with us both semi-retired and home all day - we were stunned just how sad it was without something warm and cuddly to manhandle :giggle:

and when you retire another dog sounds grand :manhug: how many more years till then do you think?

except for the feeding station erected outside for strays - or hungry neighborhood cats - our owning cats days are definitely over -

we're intent on traveling the United States for the next fifteen years or more and cats do not travel as easily as dogs do

hopefully the decision to get two puppies will be a good one

- just now i'm a little overwhelmed

but i'm sure when they arrive i'll be up for the challenge and ready to deliver all the :iconlove1plz::iconlove2plz: they'll ever need :giggle:
