Wow, how can you take such a good picture of a hummingbird? x3 It mustn't be easy... And the pose's just awesome. The birdie's pretty too, I like the pink colour on its neck ^^
LOL We love the wide open spaces and elbow room...not to mention friendly people.. Being born, raised and educated here helps, too. And, our weather isn't bad either, if we don't like the current weather, we just wait 5 minutes, it'll change....LOL Plus, we have the best protected wheat fields and pastures in the world with 2 airbases and all those ICBM's left over from the cold war...
sounds irresistible and we know what you mean about storage facilities New Mexico has it's share of labs, bases and underground bunkers dating back to the Manhattan project but we do have hummingbirds in summer, which makes it all - so much more enjoyable
I forgot to mention that we also have some of the cleanest air in the country, and great hunting and fishing....best walleye fishing that one could want. And being listed as one of the safest states to live isn't bad, either. Recently, we've had a number of corporations move into the state and my area has really been growing, too... THe Bismarck and Mandan area has better than quadrupled in size over the last 30 years. And, the research centers at our universities statewide have helped, too. It seems a lot of people are deciding to move back to ND when they retire, too. In the recent years, our population decline has reversed itself and we actually had an increase for a change.
yep, if energy were less expensive i'd take a hard look at ND for retirement but the moderate temps here in New Mexico have stolen my heart - and it's dry, not like Phoenix
having relocated from the New York/Pennsylvania/New Jersey megalopolis, i find Albuquerque's laid back attitudes a delight too nice to like where you are something it seems we share
sorry, could not resist
